Serve

For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.” (Matthew 25:35-36)

Here at CUMC, we take these words of Jesus very seriously. We strive to live out this calling to serve others, especially those in need, in our daily lives.  We have a variety of mission opportunities at CUMC throughout the year.  Some current missions include our food pantry, packing food bags for families in need at Maryland City Elementary School, collecting school supplies for the start of the school year, and taking special offerings that benefit the local social service groups such as LARS and the Board of Child Care, and global missions organizations such as Project Heifer and UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief). Our youth participate in an annual week-long summer mission trip.
